Final:

The story: I remember walking through Central Park once and seeing a bouquet placed/left on a bench. I thought it was really beautiful and started photographing it. Someone walking by told me that often, people will leave bouquets on benches for the people those benches are dedicated to.

I had thought it was leftover from a date, or maybe someone got stood up for one. I definitely felt like I should’ve stopped taking photos.

This memory of mine, however, did inspire me along the way of this exercise. The theme of these immersive experiences is that it is a public seating area where the surroundings of the seating change based on the conversations/interactions around them. There’s a memory too, and a fading latency between groups of people, so the environment reflects not just what it is immediately sensing, but also tells the story of how its previous residents.
